Reise has practiced and studied yoga for more than a decade. At an early age, she discovered the enlivening power of movement through dance and gymnastics, later helping others to find that connection as a fitness instructor. Although she first experienced yoga through the health club venue, it was not long before she discovered that yoga was much more than a physical path. The transformative power of the teachings and practice have touched all areas of her life and led her to seek out many teachers, including Ana Forrest, Sharon Gannon, Gary Kraftsow, David Life, Judith Lasater, Sarah Powers, Rod Stryker, Rusty Wells, and her main teacher, Shiva Rea. A passion for nature, travel, building community, healing and spirituality inform her integrative approach. She is continuously inspired by her students, whom she considers her best teachers. Reise's classes are a blend of yogic philosophy, energetic alignment, awareness of breath, mindfulness, movement, self exploration and playful discovery. She teaches in the styles of Hatha, Flow, Yin, Restorative and Prenatal yoga.
Reise has witnessed the power of yoga in preparing body, mind and spirit for birth and parenting. She brings her experience as a doula, childbirth educator and midwifery student to the prenatal yoga classes that she leads. These classes help expectant moms to restore balance, reduce stress, relieve discomforts, gain flexibility, relax, connect with their babies and build community with other expectant moms.
