Join Daniel as he leads you through an extended three-hour class designed to more deeply explore the standard components that make up most yoga classes: meditation, standing poses, inversions, backbends, restorative poses and savasana. This extended class is appropriate for all levels from beginning student to advanced practitioner as specific attention will be given to alignment as well as plenty of personal attention. You will experience undiscovered heights of physical elation, depths of inner peace and spiritual nourishment.
We begin with a long meditation, punctuated by simple chanting and pranayama. Through warm-up poses and sun salutations, intensity builds up to standing poses and back bends then culminates with inversions appropriate for all levels. Then we take a relaxing turn: from passive, long-held depths of yin poses we move even deeper into the tranquility of restorative poses then savasana. We end with another round of sitting in silence to cap off the day and reap the benefits of the complete practice.

Daniel's first class was in 1999 and he was instantly moved by the multi-dimensional aspects and transformational power of yoga. Over the next few years he became a devoted student of yoga and began teaching in 2004. He continues to be a devoted student and hopes to help others tap into the power of yoga. His enthusiasm and down-to-earth style of teaching have quickly attracted many students from around Marin.
He has been inspired by Clayton Horton, Rusty Wells, David Lurey, Ana Forrest, Tony Briggs, Ravi Nathwani, Seane Corn and many other teachers. Also influencing Daniel's teaching are certifications as a personal trainer and a special needs adult fitness instructor. Dance and music, both of which he has spent many years doing, also play a part in his teaching. He also continues to be a humble student of the greatest teacher of all, life.
Preregistration is suggested to secure your place in this workshop. Walk-ins will be taken the day of the workshop if space is available. Refunds given up to 24 hours in advance minus a $15 processing fee. Within 24 hours, payment is non-refundable.
